Allah mengampunkan dosa-dosa Abraham karena imannya dan menerima dia sebagai orang benar. Pernyataan yang menakjubkan ini, yaitu bahwa ia diterima dan dibenarkan karena imannya, tidak hanya bagi Abraham saja. Janji itu juga bagi kita, dan memberi kepastian kepada kita bahwa Allah akan menerima kita sama seperti Ia menerima Abraham—apabila kita memercayai janji-janji Allah yang membangkitkan Yesus, Tuhan kita, dari antara orang mati. Yesus mati karena dosa kita dan Ia bangkit lagi untuk membenarkan kita di hadapan Allah.
