Ingatlah bahwa waktu itu Saudara terpisah dari Kristus. Saudara adalah orang asing yang tidak termasuk Israel. Itulah sebabnya janji-janji yang Allah buat kepada umat-Nya ketika Dia membuat perjanjian-perjanjian-Nya dengan mereka tidak berlaku bagi Saudara. Saudara hidup dalam dunia ini tanpa harapan dan tanpa Allah. Tetapi, sekarang Saudara milik Kristus Yesus, dan sekalipun dahulu jauh dari Allah, sekarang didekatkan kepada-Nya oleh apa yang dilakukan Yesus Kristus dengan darah-Nya bagi Saudara.
