Hypocrisy Revealed
No matter how many times the Pharisees and religious leaders tried to accuse Jesus of violating the law, He never backed down. In fact Jesus did the opposite by revealing the unarguable hypocrisy in their religious practices.
The Pharisees were confronted with the truth of how their traditions regarding tithing were being used as an excuse to replace God’s law.
Jesus goes beneath the surface of the rules and rituals to expose what’s in our hearts as the true source of our actions. Sin’s origin is within, not without.
