Ask your children if they know who picked their names. Explain that names are special, and when we hear our names spoken, it grabs our attention. Some people are named after family members. An angel told Joseph that the baby who would be born to Mary should be called “Jesus,” which means “the Lord saves.” God picked the names Jesus to show that He would save people from their sins.
