100 Days of Prayer for Women: What to Pray During Your Busiest Days by Carolyn LarsenMinta
Dear Father,
Counting my blessings changes everything. That sounds like such an old-fashioned term, but I’m learning that actually doing it changes the trajectory of my day. Help me, Lord, to start my day with blessing number one—before I even get out of bed—to thank you for a new day. I will thank you for a night of rest and for waking me to this new day.
Looking for blessings throughout my day means there’s little time to complain or wish away my day. I’m pretty good at noticing the big blessings you give me, such as your Word, forgiveness, grace, hope, and eternity. But please don’t let me forget the simple things I so easily take for granted—my home, my job, coffee, food, warm slippers, flowers, sunrises, sunsets, laughter, music, friendship, and so much more. Even on the days when some of those things aren’t working so well, I want to be grateful for them. All are gifts from you every single day. You made all things for me to enjoy.
Thank you for your blessings, and help me notice more and more of them every day. Big and small. I want my heart to overflow with gratitude.

You live a busy life, juggling work, family, chores, and more. Challenges like difficult relationships, health concerns, deferred dreams, and loss come into this busy life. And also blessings, like a new job, a new baby, new friends, and new hobbies. All of these are things you can pray about. But maybe you're not sure how. Spend the next seven days learning to express yearning, praise, lament, and gratitude to God in the precious few extra minutes you have.
