Glory in the supernatural
The entire Christmas story, right from the announcement of Jesus’ birth by an angel to Mary, down to the visit of the three wise men from the East has "supernatural" written all over it. Think about it, angels appearing in dreams to warn a new father of impending dangers, an astrological sign that three men recognized and followed, angels appearing to ordinary shepherds on a hillside and announcing the birth of a child who would save them all.
Nothing short of extraordinary and out of this world. These were regular people who were made aware of something outside the realm of their usual reality. This awareness changed their lives forever because of their willingness to obey.
Joseph obeyed the angel and took Mary to be his wife. The shepherds obeyed the angels and came to worship the newborn Saviour. The three kings made a trip halfway around the world to worship the King of kings.
In the times that we live, we sometime get too caught up in the natural and forget to live in the supernatural. People who live in the supernatural are not ignorant of the earth and its needs but are ever-ready to see glimpses of heaven touching earth. They believe that God is working in the unseen and will show up when the time is right. They know without a doubt that hope will not disappoint. They whole-heartedly pray that God’s will be done "on earth as it is in heaven”.
In order to experience the supernatural we must be consistent in obeying God in the natural. Reading His word and listening to His voice help us to grow in relationship with Him. Following through by obeying Him makes us prime candidates for seeing His glory in the supernatural.
Declaration God, you are eternal, immortal and invincible. I know that Your will for my life will be done here on earth as it is in heaven.
