Wise Enough
"The next day, he saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" - John 1:29
Today we look at the wisdom required to get through an escape room.
As escape rooms vary from room to room from a difficulty standpoint, most escape rooms have a success rate of about 30%. If the room you're about to visit is below that rate, that itself is a sign that the puzzles are too complex or incomprehensible. When I was doing research, I saw success rates as low as 10%.
As we continue to God size this escape room analogy, can you guess what percent this room (tomb) would be? (example - 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000001%)
Jesus was the only one who could escape this room due to the challenge. All sinners were to be separated from God at death, which would be hell. We could not do anything to change that on our own. We needed a sacrifice to pay that atonement, and that sacrifice would be Jesus' death on the cross.
Jesus knew the challenges and knew he could overcome them.
In John 2:19, Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."
John 10:17-18: "For this reason the Father loves me because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father."
There were times when people and even Satan tried to lure Jesus to do something else. For example, Satan tried to lure Jesus to worship him by "giving" Jesus kingdoms. Isn't it fun to give things you don't own? Jesus would not deviate from the path He was on to pay our sin debt.
Praise God - Thank you, Jesus.
Uncommen Questions:
Do you ever pray for wisdom?
When given alternatives, do you find it hard to stay on the path that God has provided for you?
Uncommen Challenge:
I challenge us all to reveal in the character, wisdom, and love of Jesus as he had many opportunities to NOT pay for our sins.

Most have heard of an Escape Room and so over the next five days, we are going to use that as a God-sized analogy and use the tomb of Jesus as the ultimate escape room. Join us as we watch our Savior do what only He could and overcome death.
