[Christ Manifested in Us] Part 2Minta
Filled with the Spirit
Paul teaches that the believer must be filled with what he or she already possesses, the Spirit.
If I see a hungry homeless man who has no resources to buy food and I tell him, “Fill yourself with food,” that would be an insult. The man would tell me, “What food? How?” However, if I take that person to a buffet-style restaurant, pay for his meal, and then tell him, “Fill yourself with food,” that’s not an insult; it is great news! He has everything he wants and needs right in front of him.
If God tells us, “Be filled with the Spirit,” but has not given Him to us—that would be an insult. However, all of the Spirit is available to us. We have been given His Spirit.
What Jesus said in John 16:13 has already happened, “When the Spirit of truth comes...” He has already come; we already have Him and He’s in us. He leads us to the whole truth. People who are confused don’t know what they have in Christ because they are guided by their denomination or religion, but we must be guided by the Spirit of God. He is the one who leads us to the whole truth. That truth is every aspect of Christ’s life, because Christ is the truth.
We have been given the Spirit of the Son to guide us in everything that pertains to the life of the Spirit. However, our soul won’t align with Him freely. That is why we must set aside specific times for the Spirit to guide us. “He will tell you what is yet to come,” He will let you know the time will come for a glorious church! He will tell you that your life is, and will be, victorious; no harm will come to you. He will tell you that the earth will see the manifestation of the children of God and that more people will be added to the divine truth.
The Holy Spirit will bring more and more people to know the truth, and the truth will set them free.
