Trusting God When The Road Gets ToughMinta
Trusting God In The Unknown
by Mikaylah Lukacevic
A little while ago I found out that I have masses in my brain called cavernous angiomas. From what I understand, they’re relatively harmless when they’re small. But when they’re large, they can present an issue and usually require surgery. One of the masses I have is pretty decent in size and might need to be removed if it gets any bigger or causes more problems.
Shortly after finding out about this, I discovered that I have some pretty substantial hearing loss and have to be fitted with hearing aids in the next few weeks. I’ve pretty much been singing since before I could talk. As a musician, a vocalist with Crossroads Music, finding out that I was losing my hearing was devastating news. I don’t know if the deafness is progressive, or if the doctors caught it in time or if my two issues are related.
But what I do know is that I serve a God who is bigger than all of this. No matter what happens, I know that He is in control and He has a plan. I don’t know if that means that I’m going to be healed, or if my hearing will be restored, or if he’ll use me in an entirely different way. But I find so much peace knowing that He is taking care of me.
In Matthew 6:26, Jesus talks about how God cares for the birds of the air. We are so much more valuable to our heavenly Father than the birds! I find so much peace just giving my worries to God and trusting that no matter what, He is taking care of me.
I don’t know if there’s a situation that you’re in that seems kind of hopeless, but let me just encourage you to make the conscious decision to trust God, you’ll find so much peace in Him.
We hope this Plan encouraged you to trust in God. If you’d like some extra encouragement to trust God today, you can download or stream our song “Trust.”
