Wisdom Of The Teacher For College Students, Ch. 11Minta
Verse three is one of those “well of course” verses in the book. Everyone knows that the rain falls when the clouds are full. Where else is it going to go but down to the Earth? And we all realize that when a huge tree falls in the woods, it’s going to stay where it lands regardless of the direction it fell. But the real question is “did it make a sound when it hit the ground?”
Verse four is rich in meaning especially for this generation. It can be difficult to feel like you have enough information to make the right decision sometimes. Especially when you have grown up with so much information right at your fingertips. We can become paralyzed waiting to make sure we have all the answers we need to move forward. No one wants to make the wrong choices in life’s major areas.
The Teacher points out that those who constantly check the conditions never get anything done. There really isn’t a perfect time to do anything. Sometimes we must make the best decision and act upon it without having all the questions answered. Certainly, there are people who never consider anything...they just act, but most of us are a bit more cautious than that! Tomorrow we will look at how the Teacher suggests we handle this dilemma.
