True Repentance

JOU 2 SOU 3

Being born again

As soon as you repent, as soon as you turn away and turn to Jesus, accept Him as your Lord and Savior, you receive new life and you are born again.

Being born again is necessary to be ‘able to see’ the Kingdom of God (John 3:3). So before your repentance, you can’t see it.

This is because we are born in darkness, and because of that the kingdom of darkness is in us. And where the darkness is, it’s dark and so you are blinded. And because of this, you can’t see the Kingdom of God. This lost state causes a separation between you and the Kingdom of the Light.

What happens during that rebirth that you suddenly can see the Kingdom of God?

Because you are in Christ, the Kingdom of God comes in you (Luke 17:21). As soon as you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, you are born again and you are placed in the light (Colossians 1:13). A transformation takes place, a transfer, an exchange.

The Kingdom of God can come inside of you, thanks to Jesus. Jesus took your place on the cross and carried all your sins. He bought you with His blood.

1 Peter 1:18-19
“Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

So if you come to Jesus now with a heart that sincerely repents, then complete forgiveness becomes your part and all your sins will be erased by His blood. Everything will be forgiven and everything will become new; you can read more about that tomorrow.

Because you become a new creation, the Kingdom can now take its place inside of you.

Amen?
