Reschedule for Free!
I did it, hooray! I booked my ticket for a one-week vacation!
But "oh no," the next morning, I realized that I had chosen a week that wasn't so ideal after all! I had booked my ticket for the wrong time frame!
Since I have a frequent flyer card, I thought it wouldn't be a problem to reschedule my flight. However, I was quite surprised when I would still have had to pay a high rescheduling fee. "What's the point of having this card then?" I thought disappointed.
Do you know what I immediately thought of next?
We often think about faith, how much strength faith can give us. How faith helps us deal with our difficulties and problems.
But honestly, we don't think often enough about the fact that it's not just about what faith can do for us in the here and now, but much more than that. It's about our eternity.
Right on the first page of Revelation, it says:
"To Him who loves us
and has freed us from our sins by His blood,
...
To Him be glory and power for ever and ever. Amen.
And He will come back!
He is coming with the clouds,
and every eye will see Him,
even those who pierced Him.
...
‘I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,’ says the Lord God,
who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."
(from Revelation 1:5-8 NIV)
Perhaps you've already booked your "ticket to heaven." You've said YES to Jesus, given Him your life. But today, it becomes clear that your YES is filled with doubt. Maybe you've never really said YES at all. Instead, you've said YES to the things of the world and other things that don't please the One who died for you.
You can reschedule today, "here and now." No extra charge. No cost.
"In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace." (Ephesians 1:7 NIV)
God wants you to live with Him today
because He wants to spend eternity with you!
Yes, if you make time for Him in the present, He's preparing eternity for you!
You are a miracle!
