A Case for Christ
Paul continues his case before the governor and the king, which provides a unique opportunity to share the message of Jesus with the highest authorities in the area.
Read: Acts 26:19-32 (NLT)
Explore the Theme: Our stories are meant to be shared. Paul’s crazy conversion experience was not meant for him alone, but for others to hear as well, so they too might come to know the Jesus that Paul met on the road to Damascus. What do you notice about the elements of the conversion story that Paul tells? Do you have any similar elements in your own story of meeting Jesus?
Ask God: Paul’s opportunity to share with the Roman governor and King Agrippa is extraordinary. Perhaps we will not all have an opportunity to share our stories of coming to faith with royalty, but we do have people in our lives who would benefit from hearing them. Ask God to reveal to you who he has placed you in front of who needs to hear your story. What are some of the key points in your own conversion story that would point others to Jesus and how could you share those in a real and powerful way? Pray for boldness from the Holy Spirit to be able to share your own unique faith journey with others, even those who are in authority over you and may seem intimidating. Nothing is impossible with God!
Live it Out: Paul was a trained writer and speaker and gifted at communication. But, many of us need practice before we’d feel comfortable sharing our own faith stories so boldly and clearly. Spend some time this week writing out or journalling what you believe are the key points in your conversion story. Focus on the things that really point to Jesus and how he transformed you. Then, practice sharing them with a friend you trust and consider who else in your sphere of influence God is asking you to share with. Who is your Governor Festus or King Agrippa?

(Part four of a four part journey through the Books of Acts.) Even in (and especially in?) hard times, God is present and is working to build His Church. We can find encouragement in this. When circumstances force us to pivot, we don’t have to lose heart - God is with us.
