Giving to Missionaries

The apostle John challenges us to examine the call we all have to join God's kingdom and mission, which involves sharing the good news (the Gospel) with the entire world (Mark 16:15-20).

God's invitation to you goes beyond a personal relationship with Him: it extends to loving others by sharing His love and message of salvation. Today, God is inviting us to invest in spreading the Gospel to every creature, both in communicating with those we encounter and financially sending those in the business of taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

John charges the reader: "You will do well to send them on their journey in a manner worthy of God." He also points out, "it was their passion for the glory of the name of Christ that launched them out...They deserve all the support we can give them because we can partner with them for the truth through our giving."

Question: How are you adopting a lifestyle worthy of God by exemplifying the Gospel and sending others? Do you look at the Gospel as a worthy investment?

Prayer Focus: Ask God how you can partner with Him in His goal to reach the whole world and support those who do this full-time.
