Walk Through The Bible 365 - October

JOU 28 SOU 31

Did You Hear That?

We enjoy listening to many types of auditory stimulation. Our personalities have tastes for selected types of material. Jesus is explaining the Parable of the Sower and he is emphasizing that we need to take heed to what we hear.

Notice the fourth type of listener with the good soil type - this person hears the Word, accepts it, and produces a fruitful crop. Remember, soil is very important for a seed to germinate and grow. The secret of the Kingdom of God has been given to us as believers.

We must make a concentrated effort to listen to the Holy Word of God from anointed teachers and preachers to be fruitful and productive. Our hearts and minds must be prepared to receive what God has for us to live by. We are promised an abundant life in His Kingdom.

Prayer: Father, may our minds and hearts be clear of any obstructions or material that would hinder your Word from being planted. Let our lives have rich soil, and may we have anointed teaching and preaching of truth to be sown in our lives. Help us to bear fruit for you and your Kingdom. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
