Foretold - Seeing Is BelievingEgzanp
Over 2,500 years ago, the Bible recorded fantastic miracles from parting the seas through plagues, to columns of fire from heaven. Prophets foretold the fate of Israel’s kings and terrible wars.
Where did this God go? Don’t we get this same level of proof as the people living in Bible times?
The evidence today is more epic, even greater than any individual miracle because more than a dozen Bible predictions detail peoples and places separated by hundreds of kilometers, spanning thousands of years, detailing the lives of millions of souls.
God reveals in Isaiah, “I foretold the former things long ago, my mouth announced them and I made them known: then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.” God is outside of time and He alone knows the future of all His creation.
Predictions fulfilled after thousands of years are proof that a prophet and the Bible speak for God.
The Edomites came from Esau, the brother of Jacob, and both would become father to a nation - Esau, the father of the Edomites, and Jacob, the father of the Israelites. The Edomites settled south to southeast of the Dead Sea, in modern southwest Jordan and southeast Israel.
Centuries later, after the conquest of the Promised Land and birth of the nation of Israel, Edom worshipped fertility gods and attacked Israel time and again. God Himself would curse the land.
The prophet Ezekiel declared around 586 B.C. that Edom would be a wasteland and God would make the land desolate forever and her towns uninhabited.
Jeremiah foretold that Edom’s towns will be perpetual wastes. Even though they built homes in the heights of the hill, God declared He would bring them down.
These and other prophets added details to the predictions that we can test and capture on camera today (Obadiah 3-4, 8-11 and Malachi 1:3-5 ).
Over time, the Edomites declined and the Nabateans expanded westward to become dominant in their land. Centuries of sin brought an end to the Edomite civilization, as foretold in the Bible.
The power of these predictions are in that they prevail to this day and are not just a legend in the dusty books of history. They stand as a permanent supernatural testimony to bolster your faith today and stand true to carry you through the rest of your life.
And this is just the first one.
