New Year's Encouragement for MomsEgzanp
My Dear Friends,
We at the Help Club for Moms pray your Christmas was infused with the presence of the Lord in every moment of your celebration.
But what do you do now? Everyone is stuffed with holiday goodies, and the refrigerator is full of leftovers. The thrill of playing with new toys keeps the kids entertained. Your in-laws or parents have gone back home. All the packages have been opened, and the day you have awaited with great preparation has passed.
Remember that Emmanuel has come! God is with us! He is here to walk with you through every day of your life. As we look ahead to the New Year, it’s time to set aside regrets from the past and anticipate what God has for you in the coming year.
Isaiah 43:18-19a says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
What is the one thing you are going to do differently in the New Year that will help you make every day a celebration of Christmas?
For me, that one thing will be spending more time with my Savior – more time sitting at the feet of Jesus: The lover of my soul. Can we ever get enough time with Him?
The only way we can truly spend enough time with Him is when we live a lifestyle of ceaseless prayer. The emptiness in our hearts will be filled, not by spending just the first moments of our days with Him, but by inviting Him into each and every moment.
We pray that God will speak to you through the Bible studies this week to transform you “into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18).
With love,
Jennifer Valdois and the Help Club For Moms Team
