An OMA Christmas

How Do I Spread Christmas?

What defines Christmas in your life? Is it seeing the mall Santa sitting in his red velvet chair? Maybe it is sipping that first cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter night. Does stringing up lights and decorations define Christmas for you? What about going caroling with the local church? I’m sure the smell of peppermint or sugar cookies certainly can define Christmas for you. You might even enjoy the long lines in the stores as people seek to purchase the perfect gift.

All of those things help make Christmas enjoyable, but they don’t define Christmas. There is only one word needed to define Christmas, well not a word, a name…JESUS. In order to spread Christmas this year you don’t have to carol, or drink hot chocolate, or decorate anything, you only need to share Jesus with others.
You will no doubt have a long list of gifts to purchase this year. Pause for a moment this Christmas season and ponder how you can give someone the greatest gift of all. Let’s all spread Christmas this year by telling those we come in contact with about Jesus. Only then will we be spreading true “Holiday Cheer”. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Reflection

The birth of Christ is why we celebrate Christmas. Who do you know today that doesn’t need another sweater? What they really need is Jesus? Give them the gift that will truly satisfy their heart this year. Take a few moments and pray for someone who is lost. Pray that God will present the opportunity for you to speak to them. Pray for boldness this Christmas, and get out into the community and spread some Christmas.

An OMA Christmas

This Christmas the One Minute Apologist wants to answer questions you may never have thought to ask. Is Christmas a Pagan holiday? How many wise men were there, and many more. Don't let this Christmas pass without spending time reflecting on the birth of our Savior, and all the events surrounding that historical day.
