Whom Having Not Seen.
“Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 1:8-9 KJV
Love is not a feeling, love is the foundation of faith. Do you love God? Do you love Him with all of your heart? Do you choose to love and treasure Christ over the things of this world? Worship is a choice. Who you choose to worship is a choice. Your heart can either worship God or the gods of this world.
When you choose to exalt Christ above your anxiety, and over the cares of this world, you’re choosing to worship and surrender to God completely. Entanglement is a choice. Bitterness is a choice. Pride is a choice. Even though you don’t see God, your heart makes a decision to either love God with all of your heart or it bows to the lusts and entanglements of this world.
The enemy likes to make your problem appear bigger than God. The enemy, wants you to magnify your problem, anxiety and cares higher than God. Like Job, the enemy wants you to renounce your Love for God. Job conquered the heart test — so can you. Like Job, your Love for God must outweigh your love for the things of this world. Who do you worship? What do you worship? Who do you Love more than God?
1 Peter 1:8-9 AMPC declares, “Without having seen Him, you love Him; though you do not [even] now see Him, you believe in Him and exult and thrill with inexpressible and glorious (triumphant, heavenly) joy. [At the same time] you receive the result (outcome, consummation) of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” Let your heart surrender and submit to God. Let your Love for God consume every area of your life. Let your Love for God be inexpressible. Let the foundation of your heart and the bedrock of your faith be satisfied by His Love.
Choose to Love and trust God in every area of your life. Let your Love for Him far outweigh anything that your heart desires. Let pride be crushed. Let self exaltation be crucified. Choose to Love God more than your image, character and possessions. Choose to humble yourself and let His Hand exalt you in His season — His timing is perfect.
Love is the foundation of submission. Choose to submit to God. Let not your heart become bitter or hardened. Present a heart to God that’s surrendered and ready to be led by Him. Love waits on God. God wants to lead you even though you cannot see Him. He wants you to Love Him even though you cannot see Him. Christ wants you to Love Him with all of your heart, mind and soul even though you cannot touch Him.
Make a daily decision to Love God with all of your heart. Choose to trust in a God that you cannot see. Choose to trust Him in every season of your life. 1 Peter 1:8-9 NLT declares, “You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.”
