Menm jou sa a, nan mitan lannwit, zanj Senyè a al nan kan moun Lasiri yo, li touye sankatrevensenk mil (185.000) sòlda. Nan maten, lè moun leve se kadav yo ase yo jwenn. Yo tout te mouri. Senakerib, wa peyi Lasiri a, leve, li pati, li tounen lavil Niniv.

Cette nuit-là, l’ange du SEIGNEUR arrive dans le camp assyrien et il fait mourir 185 000 hommes. Le matin suivant, les soldats découvrent tous ces morts. Alors Sennakérib, roi d’Assyrie, fait démonter les tentes, il retourne à Ninive et reste dans cette ville.

That night the angel of the LORD went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning—there were all the dead bodies! So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh and stayed there.
