3
1Kwaye kuko umntu wakubo abafarisi, ogama lalingu‐Nikodemo, umpati wama‐Juda: 2yena lo weza ku‐Yesu ngobusuku, wati kuye: Rabi! siyazi ukuba ungumfundisi ovele kutixo; ngokuba kungeko mntu ongayenzayo lemimangaliso oyenzayo wena, nxa utixo angenaye.
3Wapendula u‐Yesu wati kuye: Ngokwenene, ngokwenene, nditi kuwe: Xeshekweni umntu angazalwanga ngokutsha, akangebone ubukumkani bukatixo.
4Wati u‐Nikodemo kuye: Angati nina umntu ukuzalwa akuba mdala? angangena esizalweni sonina ngokwesibini na, azalwe ke?
5Wati u‐Yesu ukupendula: Ngokwenene, ngokwenene, nditi kuwe: Xeshekweni umntu angazalwanga ngamanzi na ngumoya, akangangene ebukumkanini bukatixo. 6Okuzelweyo yinyama, kuyinyama; nokuzelweyo ngumoya, kungumoya. 7Ungabi nakuti nqa ukuba ndati kuwe: Nifanele ukuzalwa ngokutsha. 8Umoya uyavutela apo utanda ukuvutela kona, nesandi sawo uyasiva; koko ungazi ukuba uvela pina, nokuba usinga pina: unjalo osukuba ezelwe ngumoya.
9Wapendula u‐Nikodemo wati kuye: Zingati nina ezizinto ukubako?
10Wapendula u‐Yesu wati kuye. Unguye umfundisi wo‐Sirayeli na, nezizinto akuzazi? 11Ngokwenene, Ngokwenene nditi kuwe: Oko sikwaziyo siyakuteta, noko sikubonileyo siyakunqi̔nela; nokunqi̔na kwetu anikwamkeli. 12Ukuba ndinixelele izinto zasemhlabeni, naza anakolwa, noti nina ukukolwa, xeshekweni ndinixelela izinto zasezulwini? 13Kanjalo akuko mntu onyukeleyo ezulwini, kupela lowo wehlayo ezulwini, kwa unyana wesintu osezulwini. 14Nanjengokuba u‐Mosesi wapakamisa inyoka entlango, kwa njalo ufanele ukupakanyiswa unyana wesintu; 15ukuze osukuba ekolwa kuye angabubi, koko abe nobomi obungunapakade.
16Ngokuba utixo walitanda ilizwe kangaka, wada wanika unyana wake okupela kwozelweyo, ukuze osukuba ekolwa kuye angabubi, koko abe nobomi obungunapakade. 17Ngokuba utixo engatumanga unyana wake elizweni, ukuze aligwebe ilizwe; koko wamtuma ukuze ilizwe lisindiswe ngaye. 18Okolwayo kuye akanakugwetywa; kodwa ongakolwayo usel’ egwetyiwe, ngokokuba engakolwanga egameni lonyana okupela kwozelweyo katixo. 19Kuko oku ke okugwebayo, ukuba ukukanya kungenile elizweni, kanti abantu babutanda ubumnyama ngapezu kwako ukukanya; ngokuba imisebenzi yabo ibikohlakele. 20Ngokuba lowo usukuba ekwenza okubi ekutiya ukukanya, engezi ekukanyeni kanjako, ukuze imisebenzi yake ingohlwaywa. 21Kodwa lowo uyenza inyaniso uyeza ekukanyeni, ukuze imisebenzi yake ibonakaliswe, ukuba yenziwe kutixo.
22EMVENI kwezizinto weza u‐Yesu nabadisipile bake ezweni le‐Judeya; wahlala nabo apo ke, wabapitizesha. 23Waye kekaloku no‐Johane ebapitizesha e‐Enoni kufupi ne‐Salime, kuba bekuko amanzi amaninzi kona: baye besiza abantu, babapitizeshwa. 24Ngokuba u‐Johane ebengekaposelwanga entolongweni.
25Kwandula kwesuka umbuzo ngecala labadisipile baka‐Johane nama‐Juda ngako ukuhlambulula. 26Baza beza ku‐Johane, bati kuye: Rabi! lowo ubenawe pesheya kwe‐Yoredane, omnqi̔neleyo wena, kangela, yena lo uyabapitizesha, bati bonke beze kuye.
27Wapendula u‐Johane wati: Umntu akangamkele nto, xeshekweni inganikwanga kuye ivela ezulwini. 28Nina ngokwenu niyandinqi̔nela ukuba ndati: Andinguye u‐Kristu, koko nditunyiwe pambi kwake. 29Onaye umtshakazi, ungumyeni; kodwa umhlobo womyeni, omiyo esiva nokuva yena, uyavuya kunene ngenxa yelizwi lomyeni: ngako olu uvuyo lwam luzalisekile. 30Ufanele yena ukwanda, kodwa ndifanele mna ukuncipa.
31Ovela pezulu, upezu kwabo bonke; lowo ungowasemhlabeni, ungowasemhlabeni, eteta nokwasemhlabeni: ovela ezulwini, upezu kwabo bonke; 32noko akubonileyo wakuva, oku uyakunqi̔nela; nokunqi̔na kwake akuko mntu okwamkelayo. 33Owamkeleyo ukunqi̔na kwake, uncamatisele okokuba utixo uyinene. 34Ngokuba lowo utixo wamtumayo ewateta amazwi katixo: ngokuba utixo engamniki umoya ngokulinganisa. 35Uyise uyamtanda unyana, nento zonke uzinikele esandleni sake. 36Okolwayo kunyana, unobomi obungunapakade; kodwa lowo ungakolwayo kunyana, akayi kubona ubomi, koko ingqumbo katixo ihlala pezu kwake.
