יום 3 מתוך 5

If we believe that God gave us talents and abilities, it is our responsibility to put them to work for the sake of helping others, loving others, and doing God’s work. Being modest about our talents and not putting them to full use only deprives the world of the benefits we can provide. You may not believe your talents matter to anyone because they seem minor to you. You like to sing and are pretty good at it, but there are lots of great singers out there. Perhaps you love to paint pictures but wouldn’t want to risk having your work rejected if you tried to sell the paintings. So you bury these talents. You sing in the shower, or you paint pictures for your mother.

There’s nothing wrong with that, but God has bigger plans for you. I can’t sing or paint, but I’m thankful others can. Listening to songs recorded by those who can sing is something I do every day. My home is filled with beautiful paintings by a very modest friend. Adding beauty to the world with your talent is a gift to those who will appreciate it. Any talent can become a gift when we put it to work. If God can figure out how using grocery coupons could help the world, don’t you think He could figure out how to use your talents?

There is something very rewarding waiting for you if you use your superpower to help others. You can connect with the ones you’re helping and have the fulfillment of hearing their gratitude for what you’ve offered. Their gratitude will lead you to have more gratitude to God for the wonderful path you’ve discovered. So don’t wait. Start looking for your superpower and start following the path that is waiting for you.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for giving me talents and abilities. Please help me use them faithfully to serve You by helping others. Amen.
