He Cheated.
Devotional Day 2:
God wants to be with you in your feelings so that He can sit with you in your decisions. He gave you feelings so you can actually feel them, not mask them. He wants you to walk through your pain and your emotions with Him and lean on Him through your lamenting. In my experience, grieving is best in worshiping because it takes self-pity out of the picture and casts perspective on who our creator is, even in our trials. If there is not an opportunity given for you to truly and intently worship, then you will find yourself exercising your grief in other areas such as unhealthy relationships, food, gluttony, self-ambition, and self-elevation. These things will creep in and keep you from the healthy spirit God wants you to have. We must be like Esther when she did not stay hidden when she was faced with darkness; she looked to God for guidance and remembered that wisdom is seeking His face and not being afraid and veering off our destiny of greatness. Therefore, be mindful in your suffering and do not allow your lamenting to lead you into a life of longing, but rather into a life of resolution. We have two choices:
Choice A) Lament, resent, and harbor unforgiveness and offensiveness that will keep us from God’s promises
OR
Choice B) Lament, repent, forgive, and walk in His provision and calling in the next season of our lives. Trust that His plan is greater than our own because He already knows the outcome.
Trust that He is steering your ship and by leaning into The Holy Spirit through this season is the only way to make sure that He is directing your steps and not your anger, rage, sadness or betrayal. Do not make permanent solutions without seeking God's face; but lean and trust in His plan.
