The Face of Transformationדוגמה
Day 7 - Devotional
If we ended Jacob's story here, packed up, and said goodbye, it would be a good note to go out on. The family is reunited. Jacob is on good terms with Esau. And, his own faith is stronger than ever.
When you look back at the Jacob we first met, and compare him to the person he is when he arrives in Egypt, there’s no question if it’s possible or not for God to transform someone’s life. It was grace from beginning to end, and it didn’t stop with him, because he recognized that same grace is what he wanted to give to others.
The face of transformation is Jesus Christ, and his invitation is to let His face shine in us so that our lives are transformed!
Living by faith is not just one choice we make in life, but 1,000 small steps along the way each day. Since Jacob's wrestling match, he had learned to depend on God. And, at the end of his life, he is pictured leaning on that same staff.
Jacob's faith is admirable. God's grace is amazing.
Questions to ponder:
We're at the end of Jacob's life! What's inspiring about it?
Why is it important for us to hear examples of God's grace and work in other people's lives?
Come up with a few ways you can bless someone else this week.

על התכנית הזו
Hebrews 11 highlights many of the heroes of the Bible, including Jacob. The deeper you dig into Jacob's life, you begin to see that he’s a mess. But what if the people in the Bible aren't just heroes to imitate, but people to walk with on their own journey of faith? Let’s walk through the life of Jacob, and see his life transformed by the grace of God.
