Mixed Up Message

What an amazing statement that is made in today's devotional reading. Here we have two powerful authoritative figures listening to God's messenger giving his testimony about God's deliverance and salvation. After hearing this message, the two kings don't understand that it is themselves that could be set free from the bondage of sin if they only appealed unto Jesus for the forgiveness of sins. Instead, they foolishly thought they could set Paul free from earthly bondage but he had appealed to Caesar instead. We should pray today that we receive God's Word with sincerity and belief.

Prayer: I am set free from the bondage of sin - thank you. You have washed my sins away and I am free! May Your Word go forth with power so men and women can be set free and delivered from evil. May Your Name be glorified in all the earth, in my life, and to those I witness for You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
