The Secret Power of Graceדוגמה
What Is Grace?
What do you think of when you hear the word “grace”? It can mean a lot of things, actually!
Check out this video for a few laughs and for a hint about the kind of grace you’ll be reading about in this Bible Plan.
Okay, did you catch what the rubber ducky said? Grace is forgiving others and forgiving yourself. That’s a lot of what we’re talking about. But it’s even more than that!
Grace is getting something good that you don’t deserve.
Look at those two parts closely again: something good, but you don’t deserve it.
In this Bible Plan, you’re going to look at the miracle of God’s grace. He offers you something amazingly good—and you didn’t do anything good enough to earn it. What is it?
Come back for tomorrow’s reading, and you’ll learn more.
Just know, it’s good! You can’t earn it. You don’t deserve it. But it can be yours! Not because you’re good, but because God is good. Amazingly good. And grace flows from Him.
Ask yourself: When have I gotten something good even though I didn’t deserve it or do anything myself to earn it?
Challenge yourself: Grab a sheet of paper and something you can write with. Write down three things you think are really great about God. Use today’s Bible readings to help you! Save that piece of paper somewhere safe because you’re going to use it for the next few days of this Bible Plan.
Pray: God, thank You for the way You love me. Help me to understand the depth and the amazingness of what Your grace is as I read this Bible Plan. Help me to understand Your goodness better. In Jesus’ name, amen.
