1 Thessalonians 5:1
1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 The Message (MSG)
I don’t think, friends, that I need to deal with the question of when all this is going to happen. You know as well as I that the day of the Master’s coming can’t be posted on our calendars. He won’t call ahead and make an appointment any more than a burglar would. About the time everybody’s walking around complacently, congratulating each other—“We’ve sure got it made! Now we can take it easy!”—suddenly everything will fall apart. It’s going to come as suddenly and inescapably as birth pangs to a pregnant woman.
1 Thessalonians 5:1 King James Version (KJV)
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
1 Thessalonians 5:1 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:1 New Century Version (NCV)
Now, brothers and sisters, we do not need to write you about times and dates.
1 Thessalonians 5:1 American Standard Version (ASV)
But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that aught be written unto you.
1 Thessalonians 5:1 New International Version (NIV)
Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you
1 Thessalonians 5:1 New King James Version (NKJV)
But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:1 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Now as to the times and dates, brothers and sisters, you have no need for anything to be written to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:1 New Living Translation (NLT)
Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write you.
