¶Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you restless and disturbed within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise Him, The help of my [sad] countenance and my God.

¶O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your dwelling places.

Judge and vindicate me, O God; plead my case against an ungodly nation. O rescue me from the deceitful and unjust man!
