WHAT IS MY CALLING? It is a question wrestled with in every stage of life. You might know that God has a plan for you, but how do you know what it is? These five days will apply God’s word to help you understand how God is calling you.

In January, we set apart one week of prayer, fasting, and consecration to hear from God and know His direction for us for the year. We claimed God’s amazing grace to rule and reign in our lives throughout that week. Until now, our faith and stance stay the same—humbly asking God to let His amazing grace rule and be seen in our lives.

Often we are caught up in the urgent demands of the day-to-day, and then years go by, and we realize we have not been making the small choices that will get us where we actually wanted to be. Like Haggai, Zechariah prophesies during the post-exilic period as Israel began resettling in the Promised Land. Zechariah encourages Israel to remain faithful and prophesies of a coming righteous King who will bring salvation to His people (Zechariah 9:10). This book reminds us that we too must be to what God has called us to, always hopefully anticipating when God Himself “will be king over all the earth” (Zechariah 14:9).

The Revelation of Jesus Christ is a book about what will happen in the future; but perhaps more importantly, it’s a book about who controls the future. More than sixty years after Jesus rose from the dead, He appears once again to His disciple John to tell him about the things to come. John sees Jesus in a whole new way: He is now risen, glorified, and clearly in charge of the universe. Jesus is Lord of everyone, everywhere, forever. The question for you and me is whether we will trust Him with our lives, believing that He holds both the present and the future in His all-powerful and loving hands.

If you plan on 15 days of prayer and fasting, this plan is the perfect choice. For the next 15 days, you can have a prayer focus on building your relationship with Jesus. Each day, there will be a Bible reading passage that you can read and meditate on based on the prayer theme of the day.
