Our chosen slavery to the Lord Jesus includes our willingness to befriend the friendless, care for the outcast, and to encourage and personally invest in all those who need our help.

Barnabas had just such a ministry of personal investment in young Saul of Tarsus. Their remarkable friendship produced one of history’s most effective Christian authors, witnesses, and disciple-making church planters.

Paul later wrote instructing us to follow his intentional example. He said, “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” (Philippians 4:9)

How dedicated is your life?

Do you long to see people of every race, nation, and social status receiving heaven’s blessed gift of salvation?
