The Angst of Anger

Lord, help me fight the temptation of anger. In the moments that have me stretched thin and bring me to a boil, help me lean into You. Remind me of the grace and mercy You've shown me before I give into the reaction my flesh wants to release. Father, may I live from a place of peace and not a place of frustration and fury. Draw me near to You in these moments. In Jesus' name, amen.

Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the heart of fools.
