To The Frustrated Dreamer

One of the hardest things to do is live with a passion you cannot seem to produce.

This one is for the frustrated dreamers asking the question: What do I do when my God-given dreams become a source of agonizing frustration? There’s an answer for you. Despite the frustration, you dare to believe that God doesn’t give us dreams to taunt and tease us. If He gave it to you, He has every intention of seeing that it comes to fruition.

Frustration is a manipulative force; a distraction designed for deterrence. It desires nothing more than to suck the life from your faith, convincing you to forfeit what you know based on how you feel. If frustration can get you to abandon your dreams, it wins. Don’t let it win. I don't know what your frustrations are or the root of them; but I want to offer a few simple tips to assist you:

1. Filter your frustrations through prayer. How often are you praying? Do you have time set aside exclusively for 1-on-1 time with God?

2. Be steadfast. Everything shouldn't be strong enough to force you into quitting. Remember the things that made you start in the first place. Those things will drive your persistence.

3. Feel the frustration and pursue the dream anyway. Feelings are temporal. Learn how to control them so your dream doesn't suffer at the expense of your emotions.

Prayer: Dear God, who can move any mountain, I am praying that you move the mountain of frustration. I choose to believe that every dream that you’ve given to me will be actualized and I ask that you will grant me persistence and patience in the meantime.
