Active FaithEsimerkki
We have been called to live by faith. But passive faith can creep in and is a bigger enemy of victory in our lives than doubt itself. At least with doubt, the problem is obvious. We know what to work on. But passive faith can sound so right that we deceive ourselves into thinking we are doing everything right. Passive faith believes that the Word is true but has lost the expectation of seeing it come to pass. It is possible to say all the right things without realizing that it has become just words. When you get serious with God and determine you want more than just a passive faith, you’ll start becoming aware of those times your faith is passive. Passive faith becomes complacent.
God has a promise in His Word to cover everything you will ever face. Confess God’s promises out loud until you believe them in your heart. That is the faith formula in Romans 10:10, an exchange system where you exchange what you see in the natural for God’s promise.
Are there some areas of your life where you have become complacent in your walk with God? Have you stopped using your active faith to trust and believe in an area of your life or of a loved one? If so, find a scripture promise today and start putting your faith into action.
