Our next sermon series, “From Harm to Hope,” is based on Dr. Kate Common’s Season of Origins. This book, along with the liturgical season created from it, looks at how the Bible has been used in harmful ways across time. Sometimes that harm is as small as interpersonal bickering, other times, it is as large as a governing body using religion to justify violent means. In each case, there are no easy answers to why we do this, century to century. Generation to generation. There is no easy answer to what the dream means.
