John sets the scene by reminding us who Jesus is, and directing that knowledge into the washing of His disciples’ feet. What does it mean for God to wash our feet?
Jesus quiets Peter’s objections by saying it is necessary for him to be washed to have a part in Jesus. Has Jesus washed you?
The cross is not a one-time event in the life of Jesus, it was and is the entire style of His life. And, thus, serving others is the life of His followers. How are you living after the example Jesus set for you?
