The Transformational Leader
A millennial Kingdom leader is a servant leader who God uses to transform the lives of others.
To be transformational in someone's life simply means to provide a solution and illustrate a difference. If your follower is struggling financially - you shouldn't boast on your possessions or ridicule their financial misinformation. Instead, you teach them how to budget and provide best practices for saving, then eventually investing.
As a leader you have to see beyond how the world perceives people and look at their heart and their potential. Besides Jesus, David is my favorite study on leadership. There is so much to discuss when studying David's life, but today let's focus on the power of developing and the ability to mold, through Godly influence, the people the world has counted out. God is counting on you to learn how to look at the heart (potential) and not the outward appearance.
First remember, David's father tried to hide him from Prophet Samuel, and the Prophet also attempted to anoint David's brothers for leadership, but God had other plans. So now fast forward, David escapes to the cave of Adullam (which means refuge). There David is alone with God working on himself, encouraging himself in the Word and through song (Psalms 57 & 142) - repairing the breaches in his character, healing his own heart, and becoming his destiny. Then God called a group of people to David's refuge whom David was to train, develop, and build (just as God was building David). The Bible says these people were in distress, in debt, and discontented (meaning bitter and ready for a new beginning). Can you identify people in your life that sound like the people who found David in the cave?
David took these men and changed the way they saw themselves. These 400 men became warriors and leaders in their own right. Today God is calling you to awaken the leader within and transform the lives of those around you.
About this Plan
A millennial kingdom leader has a well-outlined vision, the ability to communicate the vision and the anointing to leverage vision to transform lives. In today's culture, the idea of leadership has been distorted by social popularity, where the filter of image gains followers ' so ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch. ' Matthew 15:14. In this eight day devotional we'll learn that the core of a leader influences the spirit of the people, we'll outline biblical qualifications for a leader, identify leadership characteristics that are displayed throughout the Bible, and prepare the next generation of leaders. A leader's main objective is to reproduce more leaders whether in the church or in the marketplace. To be effective in your role as leader, you have to bear fruit - that process starts from within.
