The Songs Of ChristmasSample
Inspired by "O Come, All Ye Faithful" by Britt Nicole
The good news the angels proclaimed to the shepherds on that fateful winter’s night stands as a timeless, open invitation to all mankind.
Come. Come as you are.
He doesn’t ask us to clean up our act before we come before Him. He simply asks us to show up. A heavenly host presented the Gospel invitation to a group of lowly shepherds, and they didn’t even stop to shower on their way to the stable! He called, they followed.
And then there were the Magi...
The three wise men followed the star to find the Child of the Promise. They brought the best they had to offer, three pure offerings of worship. From the shepherds to the kings, everyone was offered the same invitation:
Come to the manger. He’s alive. He’s present. And He’s waiting for you.
Whether shepherd or king, their encounter with the Christ child was the same. They left Bethlehem different from when they arrived. They returned home changed, with hearts full of exceeding joy.
The shepherds told their friends: “When they had seen Him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.” (Luke 2:17-18, NIV)
The wise men took a new path: “And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.” (Matthew 2:12, NIV)
Once you experience the risen Christ, your life can never be the same. And your response is always praise. Oh come, let us adore Him.
