30 Little Things: The Book of GenesisSample
Darkness and Light.
There is a difference between the light and the darkness. We all know that when we think about darkness, what comes up are ugly, scary and terrifying things. Evil thoughts are the ones always associated with evil. Do we associate these things with light? Don't think so. It is very unlikely for us to define evil as light and goodness as darkness. It is always the other way around. As children of God, the way we live should also be as contrast with the world as light is with darkness. In Genesis 1:4, it is said that God saw the light was good. God wants us to be the light of this world, meaning He wants us to live in such a way that the world can see God is good. God, the Light, is good and there is no way we can associate this Light with evil.
Are we already living like the light of this world? Or are we still clinging on to the world that we allow the darkness of this world to cover God's Light upon our lives? It is time to set our lives apart from the world and embrace God's glory and grace. Let His Light shine through our lives in this world.
