Trusting The Lord despite fears

'Runaway' is about trusting Jesus despite fear and anxiety. Too often my fear has led me to distrust when I should have come to Jesus with my worry and doubt. This is the anthem of Philippians 4:6, where Paul encourages the saints there to cast their cares on the Lord and let their requests be made known to Him. This should encourage our hearts to trust as well.

When Paul says 'anything,' he really means anything. For us as believers, this should bring us great peace and comfort despite whatever circumstance may come our way. We are not alone in times of fear, doubt and anxiety and neither is God surprised by it. When situations begin to overwhelm us we should remember what He has accomplished in Jesus Christ. This should motivate us to come to him boldly with thanksgiving, knowing that we have a Father in heaven that hears our prayers and cares for us.
