Joy in Serving: Devotions From Time of Grace MinistryNäide

My Community: Serve your boss
It is a great temptation to keep your Christianity parked in church, where expressing your faith is safe and expected. It is a step up to live the Christ-life of joyful service in your home. It’s a whole other level to live it at work.
Even if overt Christian talk and testimony is discouraged where you work, the way you treat your coworkers and customers says a lot about how real your faith is. Especially the way you treat your boss: “Serve [your master] wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free” (Ephesians 6:7,8).
in-teg-ri-ty (noun) 1. Adherence to a code or standard of values; 2. the quality of being whole or undivided; completeness. Joy in serving means that you are honest and work hard even when no one is watching. Joy in serving means that you trust that God will reward you in his own way at his own time.
