Kids Can P.R.A.Y.

DAY 14 OF 16

Jesus shows me how to YIELD when I P.R.A.Y.

Watch: Bible Theater: Luke - Jesus Praying Before His Crucifixion - LifeKids.tv

Jesus knew God's will for Him was to die on the cross and take the punishment for everyone's sins. Jesus also knew that dying on the cross would hurt so much. It would be lonely. It would make Him die. He did not want to suffer on the cross. He was honest about how He felt and told His Father, God. But He did not complain and tell God to change His plan. Jesus yielded to God's will when He said, "Not my will, but yours be done." When Jesus yielded to God, an angel came down from heaven and made Him strong enough to obey God's will. He obeyed God and yielded to God even though it was very hard. If you yield to God, He will make you strong too, so that you can do what He asks you to do.

Tell Someone: What is a hard thing you need to do for God?

About this Plan

Kids Can P.R.A.Y.

Kids can pray! What is prayer? Is it asking God to grant all my wishes? Do I have to use fancy words? No way! Prayer is just talking to God whenever you think about Him. You can learn when to pray to God, how to respect Him, and how to listen quietly to Him, too! Get ready to P.R.A.Y. by praising, repenting, asking, and yielding.
