Day 1 – The Test in Your Testimony

"Everyone sees the glory, but they don’t know the story."

When we see someone’s success, we tend to notice only the results and blessings, without understanding the process that came before it. But every authentic testimony is preceded by a trial.

During a recent EquipHer Live on Instagram, Stefania Lo Gatto shared her story of faith, sacrifices, and challenges endured that have led to the success she enjoys today. We quickly learned that while Stefania is considered a successful entrepreneur today, her path was far from easy. Her life, once stable and comfortable, was shaken by a radical change when she found herself raising her three children alone, with no financial support. She described this period as a desert where every certainty seemed to crumble.

However, in the middle of the valley, Stefania chose to fight. She wasn’t going to allow fear, insecurity, or exhaustion to paralyze her, rather, she decided to put her determined nature and strong faith into action. She was convinced that if she did her part—even the smallest step—God would meet her and guide her through the mess.

Despite her fears and uncertainties, she chose to say “yes,” trusting that God would make a way.

Perhaps you, too, have found yourself in a season where your circumstances seem to contradict God’s promises. In those moments, it’s easy to wonder, “I’ve served God, I’ve given my all… and now I find myself in this situation?” But Scripture encourages us to persevere in faith, even when our eyes have yet to see the answer (Habakkuk 3:17-18).

God wastes nothing. Difficult seasons are not just transitions to endure but opportunities to witness His hand in ways we wouldn’t otherwise notice. Trusting Him in the middle of a trial means understanding that our current struggle is the foundation for our future testimony.

Prayer:

Lord, help me see the wilderness not as a punishment but as an opportunity to grow in trust with You. Even when I don’t understand why I’m facing difficulties, I choose to believe that You are working for my good. Give me the strength to persevere, the faith to stand firm, and the courage to see this season as preparation for Your promise. Amen.
