The Breath of LentNäide

Isaiah 6 is one of the better-known accounts of an individual's preparation for ministry. Isaiah is caught up in a heavenly event that leads to his anointing for service as a prophet of God. The seraphim brought a red-hot coal from the altar to touch Isaiah's lips as a sign of purification.
God had already chosen Isaiah and set him apart by God for ministry. The coal was an outward symbol of the inward work that was done. God didn't need the reassurance of His work within Isaiah; Isaiah did.
What about you? God has already been at work in you for His glory. You may not need hot coal to touch your lips, but what reassurance do you need today that God is at work in you? Possibly, this week's breath prayer is all you need for affirmation.
Inhale: Christ in me
Exhale: The hope of glory.
