Forty Days in the PsalmsNäide

We often think we invented worship music in the modern Church, but worship has always been a part of faith. Psalm 29 is a worshipful prayer to God, calling us to ascribe Glory and Strength to the Lord and worship Him in the Splendor of Holiness.

Jesus' Life and Ministry were a living worship to God. Everything He said and did revealed God's Glory and Strength. His Actions, Words, Teachings, Kindness, Forgiveness, and even His stern Judgment of evil were all acts of worship. Jesus always did what the Father showed Him to do, worshipping the Lord in the Splendor of Holiness.

When we pray, we should let worship infuse our prayers. Prayer shouldn't just be a list of requests; it should be an act of worship. Sometimes prayer feels like homework, but it's a discipline we need to practice regularly.

In my (Josiah) family, we pray over meals to remind ourselves that prayer is a daily discipline, not just something we do when we feel like it.

Psalm 29:9 says, "The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth and strips the forest bare, and in His temple all cry, 'Glory!'" Let the Majesty of God's Voice lift your heart and mind. Worship Him for who He is. Just as we express love and appreciation to our family, we should do the same with God in our prayers.

Jesus rejoiced greatly in His Spirit and thanked God for revealing His Truths to the humble. We should follow His Example, expressing our feelings to God and taking joy in Him. Worshipful prayer transforms our relationship with God, making it more than just a routine. Let your prayers be filled with worship and joy, just as Jesus' Prayers were.
