DAY 5 OF 5

GRACE-FILLED REFLECTIONS

We’re not meant to live in the shadow of regret. If we’re going about our lives that way, what good will it do? How can we truly grow? Imagine trying to walk forward while constantly looking over your shoulder. You’re not only going to stumble and run into things, but you’re also going to miss what’s right in front of you. Regret, when dwelled upon excessively, can paralyze us. It keeps us tethered to moments we cannot change, to words we cannot unsay, to choices we cannot undo.

But here’s a thought: What if we could shift that feeling of regret into something different and more empowering? Something that doesn’t chain us to our past mistakes, leaving us riddled with shame. What if, instead, we could see regret as a springboard for redemption and growth in Christ?

What if, every time we thought about regret, we instead called it “grace-filled reflections”? Think about it! These grace-filled reflections are in no way stamps of failure. They’re signposts pointing us toward wisdom and change.

Unlike the harshness and heaviness of regret, grace-filled reflections offer us a gentle nudge, a reminder that we’re still learning, still growing, and still walking hand in hand with a forgiving and redeeming God. Regret and shame are used by the Enemy to force our faces away from God and to make us let go of His hand, but grace-filled reflections help us turn our faces toward Him with a willingness to be transformed. You see, pain isn’t always the enemy we make it out to be. Pain can propel us into His arms.

Consider those moments you’ve labeled as regrets. Imagine them as grace-filled reflections instead. You’ll notice that, as you rename them, they are no longer about your failures; they’re about godly lessons learned. Each one is an opportunity to sit with God and ask Him, “What can I learn from this?” and “Lord, how can You turn this into something good that brings You glory?”

Regret → Grace-Filled Reflections → Stepping Stones to a Deeper Understanding of His Unfailing Love for Me

So, together, let’s flip the script. Our past doesn’t have to be a burden. Instead, it can be a bridge. A bridge that leads us to a greater realization of our gracious Father, the hope He offers, and a deeper intimacy with Him.

Prayer

Father, thank You for using my regret to bring me closer to You. Please help me feel Your presence, love, and forgiveness. Amen.

Day 4

About this Plan

Ready as You Are

God wants yielded vessels, not perfect ones with the just-right set of qualifications. If you desire to live a life of abundance and mission, this plan will help you walk forward in surrender and make much of your little. God will fill in the gaps, as you choose to believe that He is who He says He is and He does what He says He'll do.
