Decide to Thrive: Youth EditionSample
The Growth Decision: Compound Growth
Every day, thousands of small decisions shape your life. Whether it’s how you spend your time, what you think about, or the way you treat others, each choice matters. Growth happens when those small, consistent decisions build on each other over time. This is called compound growth.
Growth doesn’t happen all at once. It’s about choosing to take small, faithful steps each day—reading your Bible, forgiving someone who hurt you, showing kindness, or spending time in prayer. These decisions, repeated over time, lead to lasting change.
God designed us to thrive through habits. When you decide to make small, healthy habits part of your daily routine, those habits can transform your life. You don’t have to start it all at once. Growth is a process. Start with one habit that draws you closer to God, like setting aside five minutes to pray each morning. Stick with it, adjust as needed, and trust that God is working through your effort.
Small, consistent steps may not feel like much at first, but over time, they can transform not only your life but also the lives of those around you.
Reflection: What is a small habit or discipline that will help you grow spiritually? How can you stay consistent with your decisions, even when progress seems slow?
