Government of Peace

DAY 4 OF 5

Uncontrolled Emotions and the Benefits Our Heavenly Father Bestows

Psalm 68:19-20, "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits: the God of our salvation! God is to us the God of deliverances; and to God the Lord belong the issues from death."

The Lord gives us many benefits daily, but feelings, emotions, sensations, or prejudices arise to speak to us of their momentary appetites, setting aside what God offers, which is much better. Therefore, having all emotions uncontrolled can bring anxiety, despair, and sadness. We all go through those moments where, no matter what we experience, we will have the most inadequate way of seeing and perceiving it, for example:

"What is happening that day" vs "What you can perceive with your emotions."

"A day of eating hamburgers, sweets, and all kinds of desserts" vs "I'm going to eat all this and I'm going to get fat, and what if I get used to eating things like this and then I don't have any?"

"A day of eating healthy food" vs "I almost never eat food that is really tasty, when will I eat junk food again?"

"A day of walking and recreation" vs "I'm wasting my time; I should be working and producing something."

"A day of work" vs "I never have time to rest and relax."

"A day of being without my family" vs "I miss them and miss my family."

"A day of being with family" vs "I need some time alone."

God gives us all kinds of moments, but when your emotions control you, they will react, and they will see what is happening as convenient for them, but you can meditate on the benefit that God gives you.

You can be living the most beautiful day in the world, and within the city of your mind, there is chaos, that is why God wants to govern and is governing your mind, because He will change what you perceive and how you handle it. Just as the people of Israel could not see that they were being freed, but the hunger they felt at the moment (Numbers 11:1).

It's not about perfect days, but about having peace while they unfold (John 16:33). Emotions must be subject to the Word of God, that is why David subjected his soul to thank God: "Do not forget any of His benefits," he said, and sometimes even when we feel what we feel we must say to ourselves in the same way:

"Do not forget that what you are living today is also a gift from God" (Psalm 103:2).

About this Plan

Government of Peace

"When a new King reigns in the city of your mind," as Isaiah 60:17 says, "I will make peace your governor and righteousness your magistrates." In the city of my mind, a new kingdom has been established, ruled by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, my beloved Jesus Christ. He has established a reign of peace there.
