We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample
Day 94 of 365
In Deuteronomy 30, Moses urges Israel to choose life, proclaiming that God has set before them life and death, blessings and curses. This choice calls them to love God fully and follow His commands, knowing that life flows from obedience. The Holy Spirit reminds us that choosing life is not a single decision but a daily commitment to honor God with our words and actions. Every thought, every word can either bring life or diminish it, and the Spirit empowers us to align our words with God’s life-giving truth.
In Luke 8, Jesus calms a violent storm, demonstrating His authority over creation. His words bring peace where there was chaos, and the Spirit within us enables us to carry that same peace. When we speak words of life, we invite God’s presence into our circumstances, allowing His peace to replace fear, doubt, and worry, within ourselves and in those around us.
Today, ask the Spirit to fill your words and actions with His life-giving power. Allow Him to lead you into deeper communion with God, so that every word you speak reflects His love and truth, becoming an instrument of His peace in a world in need of hope and calm.

About this Plan
We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
