We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

DAY 66 OF 365

Day 66 of 365

Leviticus 23 outlines the feasts and Sabbaths, times set apart for rest and worship, reminding Israel of God’s provision and faithfulness. These rhythms of rest are not merely a break; they are opportunities to realign our hearts with God. The Holy Spirit draws us into these sacred pauses, inviting us to rest in God’s presence, where our souls find renewal and strength.

In Mark 10, Jesus heals Bartimaeus, who cries out in faith, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” The Spirit stirs our hearts to reach out in faith, knowing that Jesus hears our cries and responds to our need. Just as Bartimaeus received sight, we, too, find restoration in God’s presence.

Today, ask the Holy Spirit to help you embrace rest as a time of communion with God. Let Him renew your spirit, reminding you that in God’s presence, you are fully known, loved, and restored.

About this Plan

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
