We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

DAY 134 OF 365

Day 134 of 365

In John 4, Jesus offers the Samaritan woman “living water,” a gift that would quench her soul’s deepest thirst. This living water, symbolizing the Holy Spirit, is an invitation to experience God’s peace, healing, and restoration. In a world where so many chase after temporary fulfillments, the Spirit fills us with lasting peace, meeting the desires and needs that nothing else can satisfy.

The story in 2 Samuel 13-14 reveals the deep pain and brokenness within David’s family—a reminder of the destructive power of sin and the wounds it can inflict. Yet, God’s Spirit has the power to heal even our most profound hurts, mending broken relationships and restoring what was once lost. When we drink of the Spirit, we find wholeness and comfort that cannot be found anywhere else.

Today, invite the Holy Spirit to fill you with this living water. Surrender every area of brokenness and allow Him to quench your thirst for peace, love, and purpose. Trust that His presence is enough to heal and renew, transforming you from the inside out and satisfying your soul in ways the world never can.

About this Plan

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
